These crispy air fryer chicken tenders are coated with a flavorful seasoned flour and drizzled with a delicious honey butter garlic glaze.

- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Olive oil spray (for air fryer)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ⅓ cup honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
- Start by soaking your chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes. This step helps tenderize the meat and adds flavor. If you have time, marinate them for a few hours or even overnight in the fridge.
- In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off, then dredge each tender in the seasoned flour. Press gently so the coating sticks well.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3–5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Arrange the tenders in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches), then spray the tops lightly with oil as well.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- While the chicken is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant—about 1 minute. Stir in the honey and soy sauce. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, just until slightly thickened.
- Once the tenders are done, place them in a large mixing bowl. Pour the warm honey butter garlic sauce over the top and toss gently to coat every piece. Serve hot and watch them disappear fast.
