Description
A delicious treat of fresh strawberries coated in a sweet syrup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (firm and bright red)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Rinse and thoroughly dry the strawberries to ensure proper adherence of the sugar.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat slightly and stir in lemon juice to prevent crystallization.
- Carefully dip each strawberry by its stem into the hot syrup until fully coated, allowing excess syrup to drip off.
- Place dipped strawberries on parchment paper and let cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes until the coating hardens.
- Serve immediately for optimal crunch.
Notes
- For best results, use firm, ripe strawberries.
- Ensure the strawberries are completely dry before dipping.
