A moist and flavorful cake infused with limoncello and topped with a lemon glaze.
Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- ½ cup limoncello liqueur
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- ¼ cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and lemon zest.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in limoncello liqueur and milk until smooth. Gradually fold in dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack. Once cooled, drizzle with lemon glaze made from powdered sugar and lemon juice.
Notes
- This cake is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
