- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chickpeas: Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water until clean.
- Blend Ingredients: In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, peanut butter, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and cumin.
- Pulse Until Smooth: Blend until silky smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Adjust Consistency: If too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time until desired texture is reached.
- Taste Test: Adjust seasoning with more salt or lemon juice if necessary.
- Serve: Transfer hummus to a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika if desired.
