Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups stale bread (challah or brioche), cubed
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (canned)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cut stale bread into one-inch cubes and let them dry slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, spices, and salt until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in the bread cubes until fully soaked in the custard mixture.
  5. Transfer to the greased baking dish and bake for 40-50 minutes or until golden brown and set.

Notes
