- 4 cups stale bread (challah or brioche), cubed
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (canned)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Cut stale bread into one-inch cubes and let them dry slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, spices, and salt until smooth.
- Gently fold in the bread cubes until fully soaked in the custard mixture.
- Transfer to the greased baking dish and bake for 40-50 minutes or until golden brown and set.
