  • 14 oz tinned diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water, add penne, and cook until al dente (8–10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté aromatics: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until fragrant (about 3 minutes).
  3. Brown the turkey: Add ground turkey to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon (5–7 minutes).
  4. Add vegetables: Stir in diced bell pepper and cook until slightly softened (3–4 minutes).
  5. Make the sauce: Add tinned diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Combine: Toss cooked pasta into the skillet with the turkey sauce, mixing well to coat evenly. Serve hot with Parmesan cheese on top.
