Description

Deliciously soft and fluffy sweet potato rolls infused with the flavors of rosemary.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 packet Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Instant Yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs (divided)
  • 1 cup sweet potato puree
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
  • Pinch sea salt
  • Pinch cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, sugar, yeast, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  2. In a measuring glass, combine the milk and butter. Heat in the microwave for 30-45 seconds until warm.
  3. Pour into the dry ingredients with 1 egg and sweet potato puree. Stir to combine, adding flour as needed, and knead until smooth.
  4. Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
  5. Shape into 16 rolls, place in baking dish, and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Brush with melted rosemary butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper while warm.

Notes

  • Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to avoid killing the yeast.
  • Feel free to add more rosemary if you desire a more pronounced flavor.
