Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring; mix until well combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes.
- Allow cookies to cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting.

- For an extra kick, consider adding chocolate chips to the dough.
