Description

This rich and creamy sauce is perfect for drizzling over breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, heavy cream, and salt in a heavy-bottomed pot.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 5–8 minutes or until the mixture thickens up and comes to a full boil.
  3. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to slightly cool (stir frequently).
  4. Stir in the vanilla.
  5. Serve over your favorite breakfast or dessert!
